The 1098- T form, is the tuition statement that indicates the total amount paid for tuition and fees for the entire calendar year.

Who Is Eligible to Receive This Form?
Any student who paid “qualified educational expenses” in the preceding tax year.

Amounts and payments in Box 1 include:
- Payments received and applied in the calendar year for qualified tuition and related expenses
- Payments from all sources including cash, e-checks, loans, grants, scholarships, and third-party payments.
Box 2 and Box 3 are Reserved by IRS
Box 4: Adjustments made for a Prior Year
Box 5: Scholarships and/or Grants
